The thing that concerns me a lot is that many women have read the book and commented that they want to try things in it. And for the most part, when it comes to the toys and blindfolding and stuff, that's not really dangerous, but I worry that it would lead someone to get into a D/s relationship with someone who is not trustworthy and takes advantage of them, because they read Fifty Shades and thus think it's okay.
And the difference between Fifty Shades and real life is that Fifty Shades is a fantasy. It's a control fantasy, and that's fine, but so many people are unaware of kink to begin with that they have no idea that it's fantasy.
