dearling, how i wish i could meet you someday and give you a hug, or merely press fingertips and foreheads together. (*that*, i have found, will give the same emotional comfort as a hug when hugs just hurt too much.)
i'm glad that your mother was giving you books that told you "you're not alone", and that you were able to find some comfort in your life when your outside/inside circumstances were NOT comfortable at all.
