I broke up with Grace today.

I don't really know what to say. Things have not been right for awhile. Things were fine when we were friends and first involved, but the more time we spent together, the rougher things got. And after Emma got involved, everything just went to hell. The way she has been treating me, and the way that she has been treating Emma, has been verbally/emotionally abusive and codependent.

And she's come to be aware of it, and wants to work on it, and get better... but I can't be there as anything more than her friend. I have been down this road too many times. I hope that she can get better. I would like to believe she can, and I will help her as much as I am able. But I have literally been in this place too many times, and I can't go through it again. I can't.

I don't know if I will go into more detail or not, but I wanted to get this out here right now. I'm hurting pretty bad. I know Grace is too. It sucks all around. :(

I'm sorry. Even if it's one of those things where you know its for the best, that doesn't make it hurt any less. Like Cele said, sometimes you just have to look after yourself.
