[Life/General] Haircut! And pictures!

So, the local salon I go to had a 20% off sale for anything done as a celebration for the snowstorm from hell being over. Since I had been meaning to get my hair done anyway, I went ahead and did it. My hair was supposed to come out fire engine red, which it did not, but my hair does weird things with color, and I love this color anyway so it's not a huge deal.

Also: Bonus picture of husband-creature, who finally got around to dying his hair blue like he has been wanting for the past ten years or so. Woot!

Drake helped me out with the photos, which were taken on his Motorola Xoom tablet. I'm rather impressed, as they grabbed better pictures than my camera (which is admittedly ancient) and also, he managed to get the pictures at the exact angle I like. I've had very skilled photographers not be able to do this correctly. Also, I normally get 1-2 usable pictures out of a batch, and I have about a dozen here.

I don't think he has realized how dangerous this is, because now every time I want to do pictures, I will be yoinking him. >_>

^ Storme and his blue hair. It's pretty dark yet, because he hasn't done the first wash, but I suspect it will lighten. I gather the salon only had a really dark navy on hand, too.

^ and this is my awesome new cane, which drake found at Goodwill of all places. I love it, goes totally well with my whole goth look.




^ and this is where the cats started wandering in. Bessy started coming up for pettings so I snagged her.




^ and Angel, who is perpetually pissed anytime someone picks her up.








^ and the above three, which are of Ebony, who also hates being picked up. Unless she wants you to. In which case, pick her up NOW. FASTER. Wait, why are you expecting to get scratched? PICK ME UP. ... WAIT. WHY ARE YOU PICKING ME UP? *hiss*




^ and Ash, aka Buddy Boy, aka drake's service kitty. (Not shitting you. This cat reminds him to take his meds. This cat comes to get me if drake is asleep or in too much pain to get to his meds. I have also seen this cat literally drag drake's med bag across the bed when drake was in too much pain to reach him. This cat rocks.)




^ and Rowan, who has learned well from Other Mama Ebony.


I don't have any pictures of Ras, because Ras didn't come in the room, and went and hid when we decided "what the heck" and tried to get her in on the whole deal. So no little tuxedo kitty pics, le sigh.

Ahahaha, kitties. I'm convinced that one of the things meowing means is that cats are trying to speak the English phrase, "Put me down!"

She does indeed! And she is quite nimble with said thumbs. This is the cat who has managed to unlock and open the sliding back door...

Oh wow. If my Dol could unlock and open our sliding back door she'd be outside all the time. I guess I should be thankful the door is heavy and hard to move, and that the kitty has a standard number of toes, for she is an indoor cat and there are coyotes out there.

Great photos, all of them. You look good, Storme looks good, the cats look good and that first photo of Rowan is classic. Bessy is a sweetheart. Awesome that Ash reminds Drake of his meds. I should train Ari to do that. He reminds me to fill his food bowl and clean his litter though.
